Manoeuvring of Bespoke Table
Delivering and Installing a 750kg Garden Table
This small day job of manoeuvring a 750kg table from the manufacturer and installing it in the client’s garden is a perfect example of how even short-term projects can be complex and require high expertise. From the initial loading to the final installation, every step needed careful planning and execution to ensure the table was delivered and installed without damage.
Collection and Loading
Our day began early at the manufacturer’s site. The table was massive, and moving it required specialised equipment. We used a slinger and spreader arrangement to lift and load the table onto our transport vehicle. This setup ensured that the weight was evenly distributed, preventing potential damage during the lifting and travelling process.
Offloading and Skating the Table Around the Property
Upon reaching the client’s garden, we had to offload the table using the same slinger and spreader arrangement we used for loading. This method ensured that the table was safely and efficiently moved from the vehicle to the ground.
Once the table was offloaded, the next task was to manoeuvre it to the pool terrace where it would be installed. The route was far from straightforward: we had to skate the table over grass, cobblestone, and stone paths. This required not just strength but also a strategic approach to ensure the table moved smoothly without causing any damage to the garden or the table itself.
Jacking Up and Installing the Table
Upon reaching the pool terrace, we carefully jacked up the table to attach the legs. This step was crucial, as the table needed to be perfectly level and stable. We worked meticulously to ensure that the legs were fitted securely, providing a sturdy base for the table.
In conclusion, not all jobs are big, but every job is important. Whether it’s a one-day task or a long-term project, we approach each job with the same level of commitment and professionalism.
